Active Virtual Desktop will help you expand your work space making it possible to keep things in order by separating them on different desktops. This opportunity is especially useful to users who usually have lots of applications running simultaneously on their PCs.
The program interface makes all of the program settings easily accessible. To start with, you need to specify how many desktops you need. You can create up to 9 desktops (hardly anybody may need more than that). Then you arrange applications you work with into different desktops. A particular title (e.g. Web, Projects, Games, etc.) can be assigned for each desktop. It is also possible to specify 'sticky windows' - applications that will be visible on all desktops.
Then, managing your work space is quite easy. Each desktop displays a windows manager - a list of applications currently running on the desktop, so you can easily open, close or minimize an application clicking on a corresponding item. Applications can be easily moved from one desktop to another. Some users may also find it attractive that each virtual desktop can use its own resolution and wallpaper. You can jump between desktops by clicking on their icons on the tray, pressing hotkeys or even using the mouse wheel. However, make sure that assigned hotkeys combination is not already assigned in other applications you are going to use.
Active Virtual Desktop is very configurable, and can be a life saver for anybody who needs to work with many different applications at a time.
