This coloring book can be enjoyed by all youngsters who are able to control the mouse. The program does not require too much accuracy or skill: you do not have to drag and drop to paint. Actually, there are two basic steps: first a kid selects a color from the palette and then clicks on an area to be colored, so the area is filled with the selected color with a single mouse click. The program provides several color palettes that can be switched if a child prefers bright or pastel colors, etc. If the kid is not yet able to operate this option, parents can give a helping hand.
The coloring book also makes it easy to combine fun with learning, as each picture displays a particular letter, i.e. Duck goes with D, Octopus goes with O, etc. If your kid tires of the computer, you can also print out a picture and let them color it with crayons.
The shareware version contains 5 pictures, which is enough to see whether your kid becomes enthusiastic and whether you should shell out $14.95 for the full version with 50 pictures. We can recommend this simple coloring book with virtually no learning curve to all parents who wish to keep their children entertained and develop their basic skills.
